Greenothon – Go Green Cycle Rally by IRIA Rajasthan Chapter

Environmental protection has become a need of today’s era and we should make it in practice to protect the natural environment. All individuals, organizations and governments should participate in this movement.

Due to the pressures of overconsumption, population growth and technology, the biophysical environment is being degraded, sometimes permanently. This has been recognized, and people have begun placing restraints on activities that cause environmental degradation.

Times are ever changing. Having said, it is crucial for societies, countries and organizations to avoid resistance and adapt to the needs of all living species and resources. Key concepts of conservation pertain to sustainability of resources and species, the longevity of individual product usage and the concerned domino effects that reckless usage of resources is creating.

IRIA Rajasthan Chapter has an objective to conserve natural resources, existing natural environment. IRIA feels that a campaign can be initiated by educating current and upcoming generations, and equipping them with the necessary knowledge and tools, change to help replenish the environment and a healthier living style as a society is bound to reap great results.

Radiology Initiative for Indian Army by IRIA – Rajasthan Chapter

IRIA – Rajasthan Chapter will start a radiology initiative for Indian Army, says Dr Jeevraj Singh Rathore (Secretary, IRIA – Rajasthan Chapter).

Indian Radiologial Imaging Association (IRIA) Rajasthan Chapter has taken a noble initiative to train army doctors on radiology. IRIA has called this initiative as “Radiology for Indian Army”.

Indian Army has its presence in high altitude mountains, hot deserts, huge oceans and deep in the forests. These are tough situations and there are several challenges. IRIA understands its duty therefore IRIA has started an initiative to train Indian Army Doctors on latest trends in Radiology.

Raksha Programme – “Save The Girl Child”

‘Save the girl child’ and ‘Laadli’ are some of the social initiatives to wage a war against female foeticide which aims at protecting, safeguarding, supporting, and educating the girl child. Similarly, the IRIA members have also joined the bandwagon and have launched an initiative ‘Raksha’ on October 29, 2017, at Aurangabad as a part of a Continuing Medical Education programme.

‘Raksha’ aims at uplifting the self-esteem of the girl child by educating her and providing her with means to pursue a way and to earn income, so that she is not dependent on the male section of the society for her basic needs and survival.

It’s a saying that ‘a Daughter is not ‘tension’ but is equal to 10 sons’. And acting promptly to it, the Maharashtra State Branch of Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (MSBIRIA) has come up with a social initiative — ‘Raksha’ — and has started a week-long campaign around the Roentgen Discovery Day of 2017 to increase awareness on saving a girl child.

IRIA – Rajasthan Chapter has also started a mission of “Raksha Programme”. We invite you all to join this campaign.

Women Empowerment

A strong woman stands up for herself but a stronger woman stands up for everybody.

Women’s empowerment refers to the ability for women to enjoy their rights to control and benefit from the resources, assets, income and their own time, as well as the ability to manage the risk and improve their economic status and well being.

Women’s empowerment is the process in which women elaborate and recreate what it is that they can be, do, and accomplish in a circumstance that they previously were denied.

Empowerment can be defined in many ways, however, when talking about women’s empowerment, empowerment means accepting and allowing people (women) who are on the outside of the decision-making process into it. “This puts a strong emphasis on participation in political structures and formal decision-making and, in the economic sphere, on the ability to obtain an income that enables participation in economic decision-making.

Alternatively, it is the process for women to redefine gender roles that allows for them to acquire the ability to choose between known alternatives whom have otherwise been restricted from such an ability.

IRIA supports Women Empowerment and works for the betterment of the society.
